Steam Games on XFS Partition not working

I tried installing a game on a 2TB XFS Partition, not only the game didn't work, it also failed to uninstall.
1st case) When running the game I get stuck on the screen with: "Installing Directx Runtime"

2nd case) When uninstalling the game I also get stuck on a screen with: "Uninstalling the game"

I've left both screens running for like half an hour, had to close steam and restart for the 2nd case.

Steps for reproducing this issue:

  1. Install or Move any steam game on 2TB XFS Partition
  2. Try to play or Uninstall the game

Hello @ZeroZXZ, issues with running games with Proton should be reported on the Proton issue tracker. Let's use this issue report to focus on the second part of this issue report. For clarity, did you restart the Steam client or otherwise confirm that the game was no longer trying to run before trying to uninstall the game?
