Clicking the close button after purchasing trading cards freezes store and community pages

Please describe your issue in as much detail as possible:

When purchasing multiple cards from the market and then clicking the green close button at the bottom of the screen, steam will seem to freeze. I am still able to go to my library but anything else just takes me back to the frozen market page with the close button. I guess clicking it caused chrome to crash.
The only way to fix it is restart steam.

Steps for reproducing this issue:

Pick a badge collection
Click Buy remaining cards on the market
Click the Place Order button at the bottom
Wait until the order is placed and the button changes to Close, then click it.

Same here on Windows 10. The bug appears when buying or selling cards too, always after clicking the green "Close" button.

The end of the summer sale reminded me that this issue still exists. Year after year stuck when clicking "Close". Can't access any Steam page unless I restart the entire client first.

As of 2024 this issue still happens
Even on windows it freezes too until steam client is restarted
