Steam client version (build number or date): Sep 17 2021
Distribution (e.g. Ubuntu): Ubuntu 20.04
Opted into Steam client beta?: No
Have you checked for system updates?: Yes
Please describe your issue in as much detail as possible:
I installed a game on an external hard disk and then moved it to the home folder using Steam's integrate "move installation directory".
After disconnecting the external hard disk rebooting and eventually updating the game, it tried to download the update to the external hard disk:
What I would expect is that the game updates on the internal partition, no matter where it was installed too at the beginning.
This is not easily reproducible, I think I updated the game without the external hard disk attached a couple of times. However, just today I encountered this issue and the error message clearly states that it tries to download to the disconnected disk.
