System information

  • Steam client version: Steam Manjaro 1.0.0.72-3
  • Distribution: Manjaro Linux 5.13.19-2
  • Beta: No
  • Have you checked for system updates?: Yes

Background information

I switch my NVIDIA GPU for an AMD RX 6600 XT, and because this card doesn't seem to work on any long term support kernel, I had to use 5.13 or newer (or my card simply not work because the card isn't found at boot). Since then, my controllers (Nintendo Switch Pro / Playstation 4) doesn't work properly anymore

Description of the issue

Every time I want to play a game with my controller, it's always a dice throw...

For example :

Dying Light : Work perfectly
Hollow Knight : All the buttons are pressed simultaneous
The Witcher 2 (Proton) : Controller not working at all
Yakuza 0 (Proton) : Random buttons pressing

When I use Yuzu, a Nintendo Switch Emulator, the controllers work perfectly, so I'm pretty positive steam is the issue.

Like I said, I can't downgrade my kernel because of my graphic card :c

Steps for reproducing this issue:

  1. Have a clean installation of steam-manjaro on the kernel 5.13.19-2
  2. Use any controller and start a game like Hollow Knight

I think I have the same issue on 5.14.14-arch1-1. Connected via BT, both PS5 and XBox one controller have messed up mappings in games. Even installed game-devices-udev.

Tried Hollow Knight and Skul: Hero Slayer - mappings are wrong. Does not matter if I enable or disable configs in big picture mod, it does not work.
