Please describe your issue in as much detail as possible:

I use my windows machine for gaming and sometimes I use Streaming from linux clients to connect to this windows machine. It was working fine, but for about 14 days now, streaming is crashing pretty much on all linux distributions. When I try to stream a game from linux client, streaming starts, but after a while it crashes with message: streaming client exited unexpectedly (2). See attached logs from steam and system
steam_log.txt
system_log.txt

Steps for reproducing this issue:

  1. Start steam on windows system
  2. Start steam on linux system
  3. Try to stream game from linux client using windows system as host

The same problem is there also for Steam client beta

This is still a problem. Running Steam through flatpak, where I have given it permission for GPU hardware decoding through Flatseal. Running Fedora Workstation 39 on an AMD Ryzen 3 3200G. I have a hunch this might be related to VA-API for AMD MESA, as this was not a problem on the same machine previously. If I go to Steam settings -> Remote Play -> Enable Advanced Client Options and turn off the switch for "Hardware Decoding" the stream launches and does not crash, but with stuttering and shader artefacts instead.
