After upgrading to raring (13.04), the steam client stopped painting the inside of its windows.

EDIT: Not only the login window, but the main window as well after guestimating the login procedure).

I tried nuking my Steam install directory and reinstalling, but to no avail.

after a short convo in #ubuntu-steam ok looks like an xorg regression
closing as a likely issue with 13.04, not steam.

Nothing extracted yet.
