For reference, the attached minidump is a SIGSEGV in libc-2.33.so coming from libnss_mymachines.so.2. Is the latter something that's changed recently by a system update?
Quite likely yes. As noted I did the latest (at time of ticket) Arch updates.
A downgrade of libnss_nis to 3.1-2 enables Steam to load again. So libnss_nis 3.1-3 is the problem here.
Upgrading again and....it now works fine.
So something something random upgrade fubar.
Nothing extracted yet.

I upgraded to the latest version of Arch packages as of today, now Steam won't load up.
