  • Have you checked for system updates?: [Yes/No] It's always updated

Please describe your issue in as much detail as possible:

Hey guys, "BottomRight" notifications are disturbing on my desktop and I don't want to turn them off, why is so hard to make user to decide where he wants those notifications? I am talking about "/home/myuser/.local/share/Steam/resource/styles/steam.styles" (227 line) file, every time I start steam, steam overwrites that file, so, I can't keep my mod (from "BottomRight" to "TopLeft").

When I run custom skin, custom's skin configs keeps that file ("/home/myuser/.local/share/Steam/skins/customskinfoldercontent/resource/styles/steam.styles") and notifications shows as I want, but, some bug happens with steam, with every custom skin, my game library doesn't show/draws (just a blank/black empty screen with no content). So I can't run any game from here, only joining some friend playing that game right now.

Can you please to fix some of that problems, fix for make my game library to draw when running custom skin, or at least make steam to not overwrite that damn "/home/myuser/.local/share/Steam/resource/styles/steam.styles" file. I tryed to remove permissions, but steam somehow it deletes that file and download new one.

Steps for reproducing this issue:

  1. Just repeat my steps
  2. Try to install any theme, and modify needed file to something different than "BottomRight"
