I guess the title says it all, desktop client can't regularily input accented characters like ò à ì ù è but the big picture can't, it does not input anything

Steps for reproducing this issue:

1. open steam in big picture
2. chat with someone and input some accents
3. see nothing is being typed
4. no problems at all instead on the desktop app
