Please describe your issue in as much detail as possible:

While not having a Steam Deck, I've decided to follow Microsoft's tutorial to make Edge work on the Deck to use my Switch Pro Controller on Linux, and I've set motion controls on it, but when I launch Edge from steam the controller profile does not change, It stays on desktop profile. Not only that but it also sends the emulated xbox controller and the real controller at the same time.

I just want it to work the same way that it does on Windows.

Steps for reproducing this issue:

  1. Follow the instructions to use Edge from Steam By Microsoft, but instead of using xbox url you can use this for easy test: https://gamepad-tester.com/
  2. Set up different profiles for both desktop mode and the added Edge, it is important that they have different key combinations
  3. Launch Edge from Steam and test if the site detects 1 or 2 controllers and if the current active profile is the desktop one or the Edge one.

I don't know if this is the case, but as my testings suggest, steam changes controller profiles only when it detects opengl or vulkan.

When launching any Touhou game there is an option window before the game launches, and while that window is open the controller profile stays the same, and when the actual game opens the controller profile changes only when the notification on the right shows up.

When adding Clone Hero to steam as "Non Steam Game" and setting a controller profile, the profile does change as soon as the notification shows up at the right corner.
