There has been a CS 1.6 SteamPipe update few hours ago, and now I am unable to launch CS 1.6 on both Windows and Linux, it always say missing executable.
I noticed that this update made Steam download HL1 (while I don't have it in my account).
CS 1.6 no longer has a hl_linux or hl.exe in its directory.

It fixed itself after removing appmanifest_10.acf and reinstalling CS 1.6. Now CS 1.6 is installed inside the "Half-Life" folder.

It looks like the problem is that it was still pointing to the "Counter-Strike" directory.

Same problem here. I'm getting following error in console:
Failed to load installscript /.../Steam/SteamApps/common/Counter-Strike/installscript.vdf

This was a side effect from CS 1.6 being half-released last night, I finished its release today, so delete and reinstall if you see this issue. (oh, hi AnAkIn).

Nothing extracted yet.
