Whenever I try to update which proton version steam should force all games to use through the steam play settings it gets reverted back to whatever setting it was before the restart and disables the option again.
Steps for reproducing this issue:
going to steam play settings and enabling/selecting what proton version to use
restarting steam for options to take effect
going back to steam play settings to see it as the same option as it was before the restart
