Steam client version (build number or date): Oct 7 2022 (using steam-native-runtime from the multilib repo)

Please describe your issue in as much detail as possible:
I tried to install Fret Smasher Playtest, and i expected it to download properly, but it seemingly downloaded instantly, and the game didn't run (specifically, "An error occurred while updating Fret Smasher Playtest (missing executable)", then showing the path to where the executable should have been). Upon further inspection, it had apparently downloaded 0 bytes, and verifying the game files just reported that "All 0 files successfully validated". I have talked with the developers, and this only seems to be an issue on standard arch linux according to them.
