I can confirm this
Same here. Fedora 36.
I also confirm.
Running steam:i386 1:1.0.0.61-2ubuntu3 on Linux Mint 20.3.
I can confirm as well. Arch Linux
Same. Artix Linux.
Can confirm as well, Debian 11
can confirm for Ubuntu as well
Looks like fixed in steam beta since build 1670474854

Can confirm, steam launches.
I still have this segfault on Manjaro. Steam doesn't launch when in a Telegram audio call - the log also indicates vstdlib just as in the original issue.
After more investigation, it looks like any audio recording stream will cause this segfault.
This crash on launch still happens on Steam 1671236931 on Ubuntu 22.04 LTS (GNOME) and Fedora 37 (KDE).
How to reproduce:
It is important to note that it specifically occurs during a Telegram Desktop voice call (https://desktop.telegram.org). Voice calls through other programs or even through Telegram Web do not cause Steam to crash on launch. If Steam is already running it will keep working fine.
I have this problem too
can confirm on Kubuntu 22.04.1 it's still happening
too

this is the same issue as https://github.com/ValveSoftware/steam-for-linux/issues/8930 - closing this one as the other has more useful information
