Please describe your issue in as much detail as possible:
I was playing Spiritfarer with my bestie via Remote Play Together using my Steam Deck. She was the host, I was the guest. It was working just peachy for a while! Good latency, no hiccups or jitters. And then after about maybe an hour or so of gameplay, the video started to freeze up. The audio would continue, and I could still send input. But the video would freeze up for several seconds, then come back. Once this first freeze happens, it's GG; you're pretty much done after a few more minutes. They will start to happen more frequently, and more severely.
So I thought I would disconnect from the session and have her re-invite me. But then I couldn't join anymore. I would accept the invite, and the spinner would appear in the corner with the game logo, and then it would just unceremoniously kick me back to chat, no error message or anything. I was only able to get back in after I rebooted my Deck.
When I think about it after the fact, the way it seems fine for while and then suddenly becomes bad suggests there could be a memory leak? I didn't think to try and bring up the performance overlay, but we're definitely gonna play again sometime. I'll bring up the perf overlay and look for a memory leak.
Steps for reproducing this issue:
Have a friend host a game with local multiplayer and invite you to Remote Play Together
Connect and play for a while; we noticed it starts happening after about an hour
Freezes will start to happen with increasing frequency and severity
Disconnect from the session, and have the friend invite you again
Attempt to reconnect, and just get kicked back to chat
