Please describe your issue in as much detail as possible:

First of all: I have the screenshot shortcut set to "none" in steam settings.
Whenever I use the "^" key (German keyboard layout) in a game steam takes a screenshot and then is stuck taking screenshot with every button I press afterwards. I had this happen in CSGO. I double checked with Witcher3 (Proton) and it did the same there.

Steps for reproducing this issue:

  1. Launch CSGO
  2. hit ^ key
  3. hit keys after

I was having the same issue and I've found a workaround.
For me this is solved by actually assigning the screenshot key in Steam to a key. I've assigned F12 (like on Windows) -et voila- no more screenshot spam after pressing "^".

I haven't tested assigning other keys, I don't know if "F12" conflicts with anything in your setup...

Give it a try.
