When I open steam, the default store page just appears as a blank screen. The friends list does not connect. Community and Profile also cannot be reached. The library works, but not really.
All in all, it appears as if steam was offline, but the friends list connects after a couple of retries and the library also tries to sync steam cloud (and shows no failure). Furthermore, developer and community content are shown for my games. When I launch games, they say "steam cloud sync failed", but the games work if I choose to ignore that popup. Sometimes, cloud sync succeeds, too.

I can reach store.steampowered.com and steamcommunity.com without any issues.

Steam is installed from
https://repo.steampowered.com/steam.I tried
apt reinstall,apt removeandapt purge(withapt installafterwards).I tried logging out and back in.
Interestingly, after running
apt purgeandapt install, I did not have to log back in and all my games were still installed.
