I wish the option (Steam) to create a Desktop (Linux Mint) shortcut would work.
When installing Steam games on LM20 64bit nonFlatpak, shortcuts are automatically created in All Apps - Games.
As of LM21.1 Vera MATE Flatpak, shortcuts are not created in the above.
The procedure Context menu /Manage /Create shortcut to Desktop does not work satisfactorily either.
Shortcuts are created in the path:
~.var/app/com.valvesoftware.Steam/Desktop/
...but this is not used by LM21.1. Nor does it work to run these shortcuts directly. LM21.1 says "An error occurred while running the application".
The contents of these shortcuts, for example the game Gear Up:

Steps for reproducing this issue:
Open Client, library games, everything.
Context menu right click on game.
Manage /Create shortcut to Desktop - confirm with left mouse button.
The shortcut does not appear on the Linux Mint desktop,
It appears as an ineffective shortcut in the path: ~.var/app/com.valvesoftware.Steam/Desktop/
