Please describe your issue in as much detail as possible:

  • If you start Steam in BigPicture mode, switch it to Desktop mode and try to access any chat options, they won't work. e.g: if you try to change your status, it won't be changed. if you try to see your friends, no window will be displayed.

Steps for reproducing this issue:

  1. Start Steam in bigpicture mode (-bigpicture) (or enable it via settings)
  2. Switch to desktop mode
  3. Click on the chat options through the upper menu
