Please describe your issue in as much detail as possible:

when playing resident evil 2 (2019) the steam overlay crashes and the game goes away with it, the steam client itself still runs normally

when i check sudo dmesg i get this:

Steps for reproducing this issue:

  1. Install Steam on Arch linux, in a terminal run sudo pacman -S steam, and then log-in
  2. Opt-in to beta steam, the new ui one
  3. install and play re2 with proton experimental or proton-ge
