Steam client version (build number or date): 1686779606, wed 14 june 22:18 UTC -08:00
Distribution (e.g. Ubuntu): Ubuntu Budgie 22.04.2 LTS x86_64
Opted into Steam client beta?: [Yes/No] Yes/no, tried both
Have you checked for system updates?: [Yes/No] Yes
Please describe your issue in as much detail as possible:
The Steam Client appears transparent : Tested with different background colours, black bars edited in in post
Any windows that it creates, like the "Settings" window or the "Steam loading"/"Steam shutting down" windows are not transparent. All buttons and functions work as usual, you just can't see them unless the background is dark.
I have tried restarting the client and changing between beta and non-beta updates. None of those solutions fix the issue.
