Enabel Gpu rendering makes steam ui not show up.
It seems I have this same issue. Is there a way to disable the GPU acceleration without the -vgui option? Cuz when I get to the old UI, the settings window automatically goes down the screen until it disappears.

@iddm, for me, merely invoking steam via the CLI automatically disables it. Irrespective, when you've invoked steam -vgui, you can permanently disable GPU acceleration via the GUI at:

Please describe your issue in as much detail as possible:
when enable gpu acceleration, the next time you restart the steam ui does not show up. I had to use the command "steam -vgui to get back in the old gui and change the enable gpu acceleration back to of and restart 2 more times the client. Then it will work correctly.
