Please describe your issue in as much detail as possible:

Adding a non-Steam game to the library consistently causes the GUI to stop responding and for Steam to hang.

Steps for reproducing this issue:

  1. Add non-Steam game (.msi or .exe, both caused the same issue. I was trying to add first the Epic Game Launcher, then later the installer)
  2. Ubuntu prompts to wait for steam or close it
  3. After a two prompts, it resumes.
