Please describe your issue in as much detail as possible:

Family Library Sharing works as long as I don't reboot the receiving library machine.

Steps for reproducing this issue:

  1. Login to share the library, logout
  2. Login and play a shared game
  3. Reboot
  4. Login and can't play shared game

Using elogin + dbus-session-launch sway.
Not sure if it that can be the issue, didn't test on X11.

experiencing same issue.

Distributions tested: EndeavourOS, KDE Neon, Arch
Using X11.

found that re-enabling the sharing on the receiving machine adds a duplicate of the receiving machine, and not even maxing out the sharing computers keeps the library in the sharing machine.

Borrow button doesn't work.

getting the feeling this won't be fixed since family sharing works on steam deck, so i've moved to modified windows install for the time being
the problem could be an outdated steam client package on certain distros. but i don't have the drive to test whether or not it works on fedora or anything else

Same issue

It is annoying to be asking to share the library every time
