Please describe your issue in as much detail as possible:

All secondary windows start on the wrong monitor. Windows like "about steam", "settings", "properties" and any other.

Number of Monitors: 2
Number of Logical Video Cards: 1
Primary Display Resolution: 1920 x 1080
Desktop Resolution: 5760 x 2160

I have monitors 1 and 2. The gaming one is monitor 2 so the games used the 2nd monitor (144Hz but 1080p). The games start correctly on the primary monitor. But the steam secondary windows always start on monitor 1, even though the main steam client window is on the monitor2.

Steps for reproducing this issue:

  1. Setup two monitors, select 2nd as primary in ubuntu.
  2. Launch steam, starts on monitor 1. Move to monitor 2.
  3. Open any secondary window like "system info" or "about steam" or "properties" and it always starts on monitor1.

I have been unable to run steam on the second monitor for more than half a year, it ignores the DISPLAY variable
