Please give Valve some time. The needed rebase is time consuming, from the perspective of both quality control and development. You really don't want a half-baked solution. Maybe Tkg or GE are a bit faster, you may want to watch their repositories. They both do a great job.
Hello @Bossiskeyboard, similar to previous iterations like https://github.com/ValveSoftware/Proton/issues/1854, https://github.com/ValveSoftware/Proton/issues/4806. A rebase of Proton onto a new wine version is a substantial time commitment and you can not request that this be expedited.
Proton's devs will rebase on newer wine when they are ready.
I would suggest that valve update the wine version to the latest please since having it be 9.0 has some compatibility issues with some applications that use wine so please fix it
