I've only managed to run it 4 times since first installing it. After starting it the next day, it began to fail for an unknown reason with the Unknown interface query as the only known clue. I've spent 2 days researching the problem as much as I could as a non-coder along with trying different combinations of settings to no avail.

It still functions normally without DXVK.

Software information

Assassin's Creed: Origins (No DLC) - Tested with both Non-Pirated and Pirated version; No difference
Steam Overlay - Switched on and off; No effect
Ubisoft Connect Overlay - Switched on and off, including Notifications both on and off
On - Produces White Square at top left corner on top of black screen after initial logo
Off - Crashes immediately after initial logo
Origin Overlay - Was not on at any occasion.
DXVK versions used: (from 0.7 to 1.9 including master) all were used. None successful except version 1.5f on first 4 uses.
Vulkan version used: VulkanRT-1.2.162.1, VulkanRT-1.2.176.1, and VulkanRT-1.2.189.1

In addition to software info, i've used all possible combinations on Windowed, Fullscreen, and Windowed Fullscreen, on both ACO.ini and dxvk.conf to no success.

Why it fails now... I am clueless. I don't know what else to say.

System information

  • GPU: Radeon RX 570
  • CPU: Ryzen 5 1400
  • Ram: 8 GB DDR4 @ 2400 mhz
  • Driver: Adrenalin 21.8.2
  • Wine version: Windows 10
  • DXVK version: 1.5f (was the only one that worked for 4 tries before never working again)

As far as I know. the game works on Linux. There's not much we can do about Windows problems like that.

The unknown interface query messages are not a bug.

As mentioned, we do not support Windows since there are always weird issues like this. The game is known to run fine on Linux and was tested with 1.9.2.

Nothing extracted yet.
