I can't start Crysis Remastered with PROTON_ENABLE_NVAPI=1. I also asked in this forum but they really can't help me yet. So Blisto91 suggested me to try to ask you if you maybe have any ideas.

  • DXVK version: v1.10.1

Apitrace file(s)

I have no idea how to do this with Steam Proton. But I can show you the Proton Logs.

Some extra context.
They wanted to try and enable the hardware ray tracing in the game and i suggested they try to disable the nvapiHack and see if it then worked. But then the game crashes with

err:   D3D11Device::CreateFence: Not implemented
err:   D3D11ImmediateContext::Signal: Not implemented

The game is dx11 but it seems they are using vulkan extensions for some of the ray tracing. Not sure how that works.

The log above is still reporting a AMD gpu but they tried with the nvapiHack disabled in the conf file too.

Resource sharing with Vulkan is unimplemented right now and will require Proton patches. We already know this, the game should run with raytracing disabled though.

Meh, it's working with software RT enabled but cost a lot of performance. But I think or hope you fix it soon. ;) Thx!

The software RT runs extremely poorly on Nvidia GPUs with DXVK. It's fine on AMD GPUs.
