The main use for dxvk is for use with wine, more specifically letting Windows games run on Linux. OpenGL is native on Linux so doesn't make much sense for dxvk to aim for something like that.
If you are interested in a OpenGL on vulkan drivers check out Mesa's Zink 🙂
sorry, i forget to add or be more specific, yes, is true that linux is native in ogl, and of course, a ogl to vulkan wrapper in linux is useless, my request is specifically to windows, dxvk is very useful, and in windows is a good option in some games with some performance issues with directx, but dxvk solve this performance issues, then, it will very useful the ogl to vulkan wrapper for windows. anyways, thanks for this awesome project.
Windows is not a supported platform for DXVK and implementing OpenGL would probably be around a year of fulltime work. (OpenGL is HUGE)
I think Zink can be used on Windows but in general you should complain to AMD and not expect a random open source project to fix their driver.
@rakantoh Maybe something to look forward to if you are using a amd gpu https://twitter.com/ayxerious/status/1534905703160225792 🙂 (Just a rumor so far ofc)
Nothing extracted yet.
I want or at least know if exist a posibility to dxvk will implement a opengl to vulkan wrapper. that will be awesome.
