On Linux (using Proton at least) when running Alien Hominid HD in Exclusive Fullscreen together with d3d9.deviceLossOnFocusLoss = True the game will crash when i ingame alt tab to desktop. It does not happen without the config option.
This doesn't happen on Native Windows and interestingly also not when using dxvk and the option on Windows either.
