Games with the use of dxvk take the resolution from the second monitor (which is labeled 1) if you select the function windows show only the second monitor, then all okay I can take the resolution I need.

We've had a bunch of people reporting issues on Windows with games either starting on the wrong monitor or using settings of the wrong monitor.

Unfortunately we've never been able to reproduce any of it.

Are you using a laptop with an external screen or something like that?

No, just a PC and two monitors.

I kind of found a solution to just disable the monitor before startup, but it's very inconvenient.

@K0bin Hi. I think it's easy to reproduce with a laptop on Windows.

  • Add a external monitor with a higher resolution.
  • Check with "Windows key + P" that "PC Screen Only" is the laptop screen, and "Second screen only" is the external monitor.
  • Again with "Windows key + P", select "Extend".
  • In display settings, set your external monitor the "main display"
  • Run a game with DXVK. I recommend Bioshock Remastered.
  • The game boot on the external screen (this is normal, since it's the "main display"). But ingame, you will only be able to select the resolutions from the laptop screen, where you should be able to select (only) the resolutions from the external screen.

Nothing extracted yet.
