Hello,

I'm experiencing a consistent crash in "Dungeon Lords Steam Edition" immediately after creating a save file. The save file is created successfully, but the game client closes right after.

This issue appears to be a regression in recent DXVK versions. The crash occurs with DXVK v2.6.2, but the game functions correctly and saves without issue using the older DXVK v1.10.3. While version 1.10.3 is stable, newer versions provide a noticeable performance improvement, which is why I'd prefer to use them.

Online searches suggest other users have experienced similar issues, with general comments that "later versions crash the game," but I could not find a formal bug report.

System Information

Game: Dungeon Lords Steam Edition
GPU: AMD RX 570 8GB
Driver Version: Adrenalin 25.5.1
Operating System: Windows 10 22H2 (OS Build 19045.5965)
DXVK Versions Tested: 2.6.2 (Crashes after saving), 1.10.3 (Works correctly)

Logs and Traces
Apitrace: DLSteamEdition.7z

Note: The crash could not be reproduced while generating the Apitrace. Although game performance was extremely low during the trace, it did not crash upon saving.

DXVK Logs:
DLSteamEdition_d3d9_2.6.2.log (Crashing version)
DLSteamEdition_d3d9_1.10.3.log (Working version)

Thank you for the well made report.
Can you confirm that the issue goes away if you launch the game with d3d9.textureMemory = 0 inserted into a file called dxvk.conf next to the exe ?
