Hey guys. I have a problem with Assassin's Creed II: the game is launching correctly, but then the ingame screen is constantly shaking by some reason. And icons on a minimap are trembling as well... The last issue is closing without any notification after alt-tabbing, though until that moment this game is working (and shaking, yes). What could it be? I see such game behavior for the first time...

I have AC 2 with the latest version (not a remaster); screen resolution - 1920x1080; graphics settings are on their maximum, but MSAA is turned off; 60 FPS locked; original game render is DX9; x32 bit game client.

I tried several older versions of DXVK until v.1.10.2 (perhaps the most stable for Windows, it worked well on my PC almost everywhere). Also tried to change some settings after creating "dxvk.conf" file, turned off vsync option etc. Seems like nothing helps to resolve this mess...
Moreover, I just tested DXVK v.2.7 on many other and different games on my PC, and seems like all of them work very well on this render (I used old 1.10 version before). And only AC 2 behaves so strange for now =(.

System information

  • GPU: GTX 1660 Ti
  • Driver: v.560.70
  • OS: Windows 10
  • DXVK version: 2.7 (and more older)

tl;dr of that is:

Only happens on Windows on Windows and is directly caused by data that the game passes to DXVK.
We have no clue why the game decides to mess up its camera when DXVK is used.

Nothing extracted yet.
