The Steam version works fine on Linux.
Your apitrace can be replayed with DXVK without any issues too.
That's really unfortunate.
It could be an issue from the older retail version, I have it on patch 1.05 to avoid balance changes that affect the campaign negatively.
I'll try it on the EA App version, since I have that one from TUC, and I'll also try a reboot and driver update.

I tried the latest commit after a reboot and I can confirm that it works so I'm closing the issue.

Game crashes on launch when adding 32-bit d3d9.dll to the /RetailExe/1.5/ folder
Tried both windowed and fullscreen modes and with the modified dxvk.conf file as well.
