I haven't seen a single other person say a thing about random chords appearing in the track when they're not supposed to be there. You're just supposed to magically know which notes are supposed to be hit. How are you supposed to know if you can't even see them the first time? Tried every single setting and nothing works. The game is basically unplayable like this

Really? You're not even telling us the name of the game?

When you open a new DXVK issue, there's a template that asks you for information. That exists for a reason.

So please fill out the template:

Please describe your issue as accurately as possible.

If you use Windows, please check the following page: https://github.com/doitsujin/dxvk/wiki/Windows

Software information

Name of the game, settings used etc.

System information

  • GPU:
  • Driver:
  • Wine version:
  • DXVK version:

Apitrace file(s)

  • Put a link here

For instructions on how to use apitrace, see: https://github.com/doitsujin/dxvk/wiki/Using-Apitrace

Log files

Please attach Proton or Wine logs as a text file:

  • When using Proton, set the Steam launch options for your game to PROTON_LOG=1 %command% and attach the corresponding steam-xxxxx.log file in your home directory.
  • When using regular Wine, use wine game.exe > game.log 2>&1 and attach the resulting game.log file.

If able then make a apitrace of the game, a guide can be found in the template above. Also attach the dxvk log that appears next to the games exe or in base game folder

I guess the game is Guitar Hero Wortl Tour Definitive Edition...
Random chords in the track seems to be an issue with the track itself not DXVK. Make a vidro o image of the same moment with DXVK and without it that shows the problem you describe. With the same song at the same time. Also, fill the template exists so you can report properly.

Yes, DXVK doesn't really impact the game logic in any way, so it also cannot cause bugs like that.
