At least here on my amd GPU i am not seeing any serious performance issues
Edit: My iGPU seems fine too. This is tested using Proton as a non Steam game

weirdly enough, removing the abitrace stuff the performance went up (maximum 57 fps)

That apitrace destroys performance is entirely expected.
I'm confused now, is there a perf issue at all without apitrace now or did you just randomly throw apitrace at the app and then notice it's bad?
Like mbriar said, it's expected that apitrace slows things down drastically.

i remember installing it because i needed to report another dxvk bug in the editor (not performance related), saw the performance drop and thought that was a dxvk bug and reported that
