Can you please bisect this to a specific commit? "Something in the last 7 days" isn't really all that specific.
Game still works fine on Proton for me so yeah, need more info here.
Yeah let me try to figure out the exact commit that broke it. It will take a minute because I'm going to need to do a number of builds.
Unfortunately I build on Linux and then play on Windows, so there's going to be lots of rebooting involved lol
I seem to be able to load in on my 7900XTX with 25.12.1 on Windows 11
This is with the latest master CI artifact
Edit: Also tried with Vulkan reshade
Do you have a link to where I can find those CI artifacts? I'm wondering which comments went into the one you are using. That would be helpful in me tracking this down
Edit: nvm I found them in the readme
@doitsujin and @Blisto91 Ok I figured it out. It wasn't an issue with the binary I compiled, instead it seems like something got messed up with the dxvk.bin and/or dxvk.lut cache files in %appdata%/local/dxvk. After deleting this directory and letting it re-populate, I no longer am crashing on startup.
Is there something that changed in the past week that would have made a previous cache incompatible? If so, it seems like DXVK isn't handling that particularly gracefully, at least on Windows.
DXVK invalidates caches with every commit, but it can only do so if it is built with the proper git version info in place. Looking at the provided dxgi.log, that may not be the case with your builds, unless it was actually a 2.7.1 release build.
I haven't tested if CI builds have the same issue or not, but I'm also not aware of any more reliable way to do this given that our builds need to be reproducible.
Got it. I highly doubt I was building it with the specific flag necessary to invalidate. This seems like a non issue then, and I guess I just got really lucky the previous weeks that the cache worked.
Apologies for the noise on this one. I appreciate the explanation.

I have been building the DXVK from Master weekly for the past few weeks, and I'd like to report that the latest commits as of today (December 17, 2025) are leading to Guild Wars 2 crashing on launch 100% of the time. The build that I compiled with all the commits from December 10th has been working great (as well as all those before); however, the build I compiled from the latest commits to Master today (December 17th) is instantly crashing Guild Wars 2 on launch. So something in the past 7 days has led to these consistent crashes on launch, though I'm unsure which commit that would be.
Apologies, I don't have any tooling set up on Windows to capture more specific logs for you. For now, I can continue to ue the Dec 10th build, but I figured it might be worth reporting this issue early before the next version is released.
