How do I reproduce this issue? What is ESWC? What is Starforce?
Looks fine here:
I need that apitrace.
This is ESWC: https://www.speedrun.com/tmn/guides/vlfhn (along with the downloads)
ESWC came out in 2006 and has a seperate campaign to United (late 2006) and Forever (2008)
It is also a free game but Starforce is a copy protection to prevent cheating etc.

Of note: I see the speedrun site mentions its own d3d9.dll that fixed a win10_Problem.
The API Trace refuses to upload. (25.2mb again)
Is there anywhere I can send it to you?

I suggest just uploading it to some hosting site like Google Drive or Mega.
Must be half asleep, did not even contemplate that, thanks.

I think you forgot to set the file to public. Meta redirects me to a login page.

(I logged out myself then tried this link just in case)
Replaying that Apitrace on Windows with the regular Nvidia D3D9 driver looks exactly the same as with DXVK:
So clearly this d3d9.dll mod has some workaround for the game. Unfortunately I can't find any documentation or source code about it, so there's nothing I can do.
d3d9.dllx3 2026-04
On launching the intro video does not play, or if it does, the screen remains white and no audio plays, and the menu looks like the attached Screenshot. On selecting the options to enter the game it crashes not long after the 3d scene loads.
It runs fine with the included DLL (attached at the end) but I have been changing all the DX9 games I have on my PC to Vulkan.
Screenshot:

The game is not listed on ProtonDB. It precedes Trackmania Nations Forever / United that is listed however.

MAY be related to Starforce which it seems does not run under wine, although I am on WIndows.

Below is a d3d9.dll that works with it in case that helps. I am sorry to say that I cannot remember if it came with the game or was a required extra.
