  after even more troubleshooting i discouvered my locale.conf was blanked (probably because i forgot to update it) i added my LANG and added my lang to the KDE locale config and everspace now launches

  also, about the checking for updates portion of the report....being on arch linux you kinda cant be up-to-date for more than a few minutes.

  Thanks, that at least makes it clear that there is a different issue than https://github.com/ValveSoftware/steam-runtime/issues/349 to investigate. Pressure Vessel seems to be sanely handing the ™ through to Proton.
