With my Logitech G29 I get force feedback effects for things like ramming into a wall, but the rest of the time nothing.
Looking at logs created with +dinput, it registers a lot of force feedback events, but most with a magnitude of 0.
@whizse Can you please explain to me how Can i get dinput logs? I'm not skilled enough.
You need to add +dinput to the comma separated list in WINEDEBUG in the user_settings.py file. There's instructions here:
https://github.com/ValveSoftware/Proton#runtime-config-options
Run the game, and there should be a log file called steam-XXX.log in your home directory. Keep in mind that these files can be become huge quickly (gigabites after a few minutes sometimes).
Update: running "wine control" in Proton (3.16) FF support is somehow broken, while 3.20 seems to be correct. Possibly the next Proton update Will solve.

Game randomly crashes in both 32 and 64 bit mode. Sometimes you play for 2 hours without a crash, sometimes for a few minutes.
hi all, I have the same issue with my Logitech G27 and Manjaro Linux. The odd time I can feel some force feedback effects but most of the time there is no force feedback. However, I do know that force feedback works because it works fine playing Project Cars 2. Anyone have any ideas?
Gas guzzlers Extreme x64 runs fine on my system (35-40fps) and steering wheel works (Logitech driving Force ex) Nevertheless, i can set Force feedback on, but It doesn't work at all. Don't know if It is a problem of Proton but my FF on native ports of Codemasters works perfectly (grid autosport, dirt rally).
