I have experienced no issues, game seems to work well
This game officially released in Early Access today.
It DOES NOT WORK in proton. EAC fails to initialize.
The developer was contacted (steam forums) and they appear to be working on it but as of right now it DOES NOT work.
This game is interesting. Users are claiming that it works on the Steam Deck. Users are also claiming it works correctly on specifically the flatpak version of Steam and will not work on native.
I have only tested it on native.
[12:26:58:179] [Windows] [EAC Launcher] [Info] [] Current progress: 100 (1/1).
[12:26:58:492] [Windows] [EAC Launcher] [Info] [] Launcher finished with: 206, 'Failed to load the anti-cheat module.'.

[12:26:58:495] [Windows] [EAC Launcher] [Info] [] Unlocking the launch lock, allowing next game to launch to take place.
[12:27:01:144] [Windows] [EAC Launcher] [Info] [] Exit button pressed by the user, setting exit flag.
This is the anticheatlauncher.log that appears to fail successfully? First it fails with "Failed to load the anti-cheat module" but then it immediately says it is "Unlocking the launch lock".
There is no difference across Proton 7, Proton Experimental, GE 7-9, GE 7-14, and a couple of other versions that I tried.
To update my comment from roughly two weeks ago:
Game works only with flatpak Steam... but game doesn't detect any controller, so unplayable for me (forces you to work only with keyboard).
Tried with (all wired):
Al controllers works perfectly fine with my other games with Proton.
Tried with Proton Experimental, 7.0-1, proton-ge-custom in Garuda Linux (based on Arch Linux).
Same thing happens for «Back 4 Blood».

Have you recently tested this? On another note, how did you get EAC logs, because I don't have them in my proton log.
Asking since I have purchased the game today and I am getting a "Failed to load the anti-cheat module." error, even in Steam Flatpak.
I believe I tested it a couple of weeks ago and still got the EAC failure. I have not tried on steamdeck or on flatpak. I can try again this afternoon probably.
To get the EAC logs you'll need to head under the prefix and find them in the EAC directory for the game.

I see, I checked it and the logs are exactly like yours. Thanks for the help @elijahsgh!
I had a few minutes extra this morning and tried to run the game with Proton 7.0-4, Proton Experimental, GE 7-37, etc. All resulted in the EAC failure. I'm using native steam on fedora.
The EAC issue is gone for a while. However, the game now relies on Epic Online Services, and doesn't start due to an error.
They released an update that specifically allow Steamdeck users to play the game. Desktop users running steam on linux still have the EOS issue. It seems that players running Epic game store thought wine can play the game fine.
