[ yes] that I haven't found an existing compatibility report for this game.
[ yes] that I have checked whether there are updates for my system available.
Symptoms
On attempting text entry in any text box in the game the text boxes never render and attempting to type results in a crash. I believe this ocurs due to an incomplete wine dll as shown by these lines of the log.
I also believe this to be the source of the same issue in the first Dear Days game (see #6318) however as i have not done recent testing on the previous game and both appear to affected i deemed submitting a new report to be appropriate. Dear days 2 is otherwise perfect if you avoid interacting with a text box. I have also tested on a Steamdeck LCD with the same results as this desktop
Reproduction
1.Start the game and proceed to the Main Menu
2. Find any point where the game can generate a text box and interact with it (quickest method from start would likely be the in game shop.)
3. Observe crash with no error dialog
Please advise on any further information or testing needed from me and feel free to merge this to the other issue if i should have placed this there instead
