Description:

I've encountered an issue where games, intended to run natively on Linux, unexpectedly switch back to utilizing Proton after being launched.

Steps to Reproduce:

1. Launch a Linux native game from Steam.
2. Observe that the game initially works natively.
3. Shut down the game.
4. Relaunch the same game and observe that it launches with Proton.

Workaround:

1. Force Proton to launch the game.
2. Disable Proton.
3. Relaunch the game.

Manual intervention is required to switch back to native modes.
