Was playing HL1 Beta when i paused to get dinner. When i returned the screen was the same but the computer had locked to login screen (this hapens often with fullscreen games). I type in the password and hit enter and everything is ok. I walk away a second time and same thing happened. Except this time when i tried to unlock I did not regain control of HL. All of this can be written off as not HL's problem, and i'm ok with. What im not ok with is upon hard restart i ended up with a nearly blank home screen. Somehow i ended up with the "2nd" monitor as main desktop. Workspace switcher did no good. The only way i found out was when i took a screenshot. I though i had just lost all icons, desktop background, and menu items. Mouse was locked to the black screen and only 1 screen appeared in all multiple desktop windows. Restarting did no good, only way i got the main one back was by rotating the available screen and allowing it to undo after 15 sec.
