Please describe your issue in as much detail as possible:

I have been running into two issues when I am running steam on my preferred window manager Openbox.

Firstly, any dropdown menus I encounter require the shift key to be held down in order for them to function properly. Secondly, is that the hardware accelerated rendering option under Steam > Settings > Interface causes steam to go black screen. Which is quite similar to issue #11107.

The reason why I am making this issue, and not just asking this other issue to be reopened is because I believe that steam client on openbox issue is beyond #11107. The first point is basically proof to me.

I'm sure it's just one of many tickets that report this black screen issue, but it seems most people went in this issue: #9386
I'll try to find all the duplicates so #9386 grows into a mega-thread, and then maybe someone from Valve will notice it.

Hello @Snoucher, this issue is already being tracked at #9273 and #11488 (and likely others). Closing as a duplicate.
