Steam Logs: I attached the last 100–200 lines of controller.txt. There is no mention of the Saitek Pro Flight Rudder Pedals at all, while other controllers are listed normally.
Please describe your issue in as much detail as possible:
I’m running Linux Mint (Steam version of the affected games), and I’m having an issue where my Saitek Pro Flight Rudder Pedals (USB VID:PID 06a3:0763) are completely invisible to Steam and all games, even though everything else works normally.
The pedals are detected fine by Linux itself and respond correctly in input testing tools, so the hardware is definitely working. The strange part is that Steam doesn’t seem to see them at all — they don’t show up in Steam’s controller settings, and they never appear in any game’s input configuration menus.
At the same time, all my other flight controls are picked up without issue. My Logitech F310 gamepad, Logitech flight quadrant, and Honeycomb Alpha yoke all show up immediately and work as expected. The rudder pedals are the only device that doesn’t appear anywhere in Steam or games.
I’ve tested this across several games, including X-Plane 12, War Thunder, No Man’s Sky, and Project Wingman. In every case, the result is the same: other controllers are detected, but the pedals are ignored completely.
I’ve also tried a few basic troubleshooting steps:
Confirmed the pedals work in Linux input tools
Tested with only the pedals plugged in
Tried different USB ports
Disabled Steam Input per game
Launched games through Steam and directly where possible
Nothing changes the behavior.
For reference, the device is axis-only (no buttons), which might be relevant here, since all my other working controllers have buttons or switches.
Steps for reproducing this issue:
Plug in Saitek pedals
Launch Steam
Navigate to controllers list
Notice that all other controllers are listed and functional, but the pedals are not.
