    I use the SteamRT3 client

Please describe your issue in as much detail as possible:

I have a flatpak non-steam game added in my library, it uses SDL3 for controller support.
When I launch it I have a controller profile that enables trackpad to mouse functionality plus back buttons for convenience, it's based on "controller plus trackpad mouse"
Everytime I relaunch this app the controller profile is reset to "controller plus trackpad joystick", and it's usually reset to a custom version of that profile i had previously made with back buttons. But I've since deleted that profile, yet it recreates it on start again and never remembers to set the proper mouse+trackpad profile I've made, even after setting it every time

Steps for reproducing this issue:

  1. Add non-steam game
  2. Make custom controller profile (Potentially two, one to use originally to "reset" to and one you actually want)
  3. Launch the app from game-mode and set controller profile to the custom one you prefer
  4. Quit app and relaunch
  5. Observe your controller profile is not what you had set previously

Is this specific to the steamrt3c client, or is the non-experimental client also affected?

the controller profile is reset

Possibly the same issue as #13508?

my profile is never erased, it's still there, just not applied on launch. I can check without the RT3 client for the other issue
