I'm using Windows as Client it happens since a few Days that i'm able to play normally after starting Steam and starting CS for the first time.
After i closed the game i'm unable to restart it correctly after i stopped it. There's always the voice-feature garbled/missing and the wrong playermodels are shown.

Closing Steam completly and restarting it fixes it for another first startup - until i quit it und try to restart CS.

When it fails the second time, does it produce an error about hw.dll? If so, duplicate of #1466

I dont get any message on the screen when starting the second time and i just tested it - the voice is just broken.

I can see that my teammates are using voice, because their name is flickering for 0,5sec on the screen - but i dont hear them and they cant hear me.

To clarify:
I start Steam - i start CS 1.6 and i can play without any problems - then i close CS completly and then i restart it through the steam-library: Voice doesnt work ingame. I need to close Steam and then it works again, until i close and restart it.

Update:
Starting cs for the first time shows 100 fps - after restarting it the second time it shows 1500+ fps.
I tried to view a demo the second time i started cs with viewdemo - cs crashes completly and i'm back on the windows-screen without any error-msg.
