I recently copied my SteamApps data from another drive, because I didn't want to download them again. Both drives contained the linux steam client. All files copied properly, and I was able to copy the directory and then click "install game" to launch, however each of my 39 linux games failed to execute because the file permissions failed to transfer. Most games it was trival for me to find the binary and chmod +x, however it would be nice if the install/ verify integrity script checks and sets file permissions for executable binaries for their respective games.
