Please describe your issue in as much detail as possible:

Webms and MP4s do not play at all. Not only does a thumbnail not show, but clicking on it does nothing. This has been a issue since the Steam Chat overhaul update. However, when I open it in my browser, it works perfectly fine.

To reproduce, all you have to do is try to view any .mp4 or .webm file in steamchat on any Linux distro. One person out of the four of us that use Linux say this isn't a issue for them. I've reported this issue twice, one of which was ignored while the other was marked as "Solved".

Hello @Vulksgren, you've already opened an issue report to track the issue with webm at #7078. Let's use this issue report to focus on mp4.
